Platja de Camp de Mar está a cuatro kilómetros de Andratx, situada entre Platja de ses Dones y el imponente Cap Andritxol.
Este arenal con hoteles y chalés en primera línea de playa supone el final de un entrante de mar amplio, en forma de u, en el que desemboca un torrente cuya agua desemboca en el mar, abriéndose camino a través de la arena ocupada por una multitud de bañistas locales y turistas.
En el centro de esta rada emerge un islote, conocido popularmente como la Illeta, que un puente algo estrecho y de madera une con la orilla. Este peñasco es la gran atracción del lugar. La Illeta acoge un restaurante y el puente sirve de embarcadero para las golondrinas que navegan hasta la Illa de sa Dragonera.
Las condiciones marinas y subacuáticas de esta playa expuesta a vientos del sur-suroeste-oeste son aptas para el fondeo de embarcaciones. Se recomienda al navegante que cale en las inmediaciones del islote. Allí hallará un fondo de arena y alga a una profundidad que oscila entre cuatro y cinco metros. Tan sólo deberá evitar la ocupación del canal de entrada y salida usado por las golondrinas para arribar a este arenal. A 3,8 millas marinas se encuentra Club Nàutic Santa Ponça.
